Lantana camara is classified as a perennial in USDA Plant Hardiness Zones 8-11. Its multi-color blooms, including but not limited to hot pink, white and sizzling gold, light up a hot and sunny spot in a Southern garden. Its flowers appear from mid-summer to first frost, and beckon a colorful variety of insect pollinators, hummingbirds and butterflies to dance among its profuse blooms. Remember to give this drought tolerant plant plenty of room to spread as it can easily grow above and beyond where you’d like it to stay.
